TRACTOR BILL OF SALE
The item is sold AS-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied, unless otherwise stated.
Recording the tractor accurately
Tractors are usually sold without a title, so the bill of sale plus the serial number is the paper trail. Take the serial from the plate on the machine — frame near the front axle, transmission housing, or under the hood on compact models — and record the hour meter as it reads on the day of the sale.
PTO, hydraulics, and configuration
Two tractors of the same model can be equipped very differently. Note the PTO speed, the number of rear remotes, three-point hitch category, whether it is two- or four-wheel drive, and the tire type. These details describe what was actually sold and are easy to write down while both parties are standing next to the machine.
Attachments and implements
Loaders, backhoes, bush hogs, box blades, tillers, and forks are frequently sold with the tractor and just as frequently kept back. List each implement by type and size in the attachments field so there is no ambiguity at pickup. If an implement is being sold separately, write a second bill of sale for it.
As-is and known faults
An as-is clause states that the buyer accepts the tractor in its present condition with all faults, having had the chance to inspect it. Pair it with a short, honest condition note — a slipping clutch, a weeping hydraulic line, a cracked seat — so the record reflects what both parties actually discussed.
